Biography

Antonina di Leone is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Giuseppe di Leone and Angela Rizzo, who married in 1713. I estimate Antonina is born the year her parents marry, eighteen years before she marries.

Antonina marries Antonino Bavuso, son of the late Mercurio and the living Filippa, on 1 July 1731.^[1]

Antonino and Antonina have at least four children: Vincenza (c. 1738), Filippa (c. 1751), Gaetano (c. 1751), and Giuseppe (c. 1752).

I estimate Vincenza is born around 1738, twenty years before she marries.

I estimate Filippa is born as late as twenty years after her parents marry. She is named after her paternal grandmother, traditional for the first born daughter. Yet she does not marry until 1777, and has at least two children.

I estimate Giuseppe is born around 1752, twenty years before he marries.

Vincenza marries Onofrio Ligotino, a widower, on 16 June 1758.^[2]

Giuseppe marries Leoluchina Marsalisi on 4 October 1772.^[3]

Filippa marries Epifanio Binenti on 27 April 1777. Her father has died by this time.^[4]

Gaetano marries Gaetana Ponzo on 14 September 1777.^[5]
